    4.    CUURA

CUURA, founded by Sarah Shah Nor of Malaysia’s Modest Multilabel Fashion House (MODVIER), addresses a market need for skincare products emphasizing the benefits of natural ingredients.

“I was diagnosed with postpartum eczema, at that time I had a multilabel modest store in Bangsar called Modvier. So when I developed my interest in gentle skincare, I thought it would be a great addition to the store since we only had fashion items, not beauty” said Sarah Shah.

When CUURA was developed, no other skincare brand focused on sensitive skin, while too many brands focused on “white in 3 days”.

Their flagship product, Pure Beauty Oil, blends premium oils for sensitive skin. CUURA is proud to offer curated products consisting of high quality natural ingredients to enhance beauty and health.

Drawing parallels between skin care and food, CUURA champions real, natural ingredients like those used in gourmet cuisine, emphasizing the importance of educating women about ingredients, beauty tips, and everyday issues through their social media platforms.

    5. Olloum

Sumayyah binti Nasaruddin, 42, describes the ethos of “THINK • URBAN • MUSLIM,” for her business, Olloum, which has expanded into the sportswear industry.

“I started by making clothes for Muslim women and then focused on modest sportswear because there was a need in the market to represent sporty modest women,” she said.

In 2018, Sumayyah also shared that she had moved on from making clothes and focused on sportswear.

Olloum prefers to design clothes using RPET instead of using regular polyester and incorporating more rayon and cotton into the fabric.

This income does not limit the movement of Muslim women abroad in line with the suitability of the weather in Malaysia. Olloum is committed to ensuring the comfort of Muslim women during physical activity.

According to Sumayyah, the existence of Destinasi Super T is a way to celebrate friendship among modest women with different personalities.

This opportunity also allows Olloum to join the local fashion industry to promote the Olloum brand.
